Oxford Royale Academy (ORA) is a private educational provider. It was established in 2005 by alumni of Oxford, Cambridge and London Universities in Oxford, where it provided educational courses each summer for five years before expanding its courses into Cambridge in 2010.[1] ORA's Head Office has been based at St Catherine's College, one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford, since 2007.[2]
Oxford Royale Academy was awarded Best Educational Product at the annual British Youth Travel Awards in 2010 and 2011.[3][4] ORA was chosen based on a range of criteria including customer service; quality of content; creativity in business thinking; improving or innovating a product; and commitment to health and safety.[5]
Oxford Royale Academy is fully accredited by the British Council,[6] British Accreditation Council (BAC),[7] World Youth Student & Educational Travel Confederation (WYSE)[8] and is a member of EnglishUK[9] and StudyUK.[10]
ORA contracts with institutions including Oxford University and Cambridge University for the use of their facilities and also contracts with tutors from those institutions but does not operate under the aegis of either University.[11] In Oxford, it uses St. Peter's College, St. Catherine's College, Balliol College, Jowett Walk, and Corpus Christi College. The Cambridge course takes place at Clare College.
